makes perfect sense to me. compassion must start in your own heart. i am working hard at, and seeing the beauty of, simply speaking/normalizing feelings to help soften and diffuse tough spaces.

Thanks for this post! I felt intrigued by the "law of attraction" hoopla along with everyone else, but couldn't grasp the concept of wishing for specific material goods or amounts of money and then somehow it just happens? And isn't that a bit like knowing what you're getting before you open your presents? It's so simplistic in the way that life is not simple. I'll take the surprises!

My greatest wish for this new year and many more to come, is for all of us to embrace this type of thinking.
As much as modern technology can help us, it is quickly separating us and making life about instant rewards. I just shared this link on my Facebook page, hoping those who "live" there will have a chance to see your message. It's been a month since I even logged in, preferring to communicate the old-fashioned way, and I promptly signed off :) I'm 38, well versed in all forms of new communication and have spent the last 7 months quieting down and simplifying. Your blog is such an inspiration to me, and I thank you for your insight!

[...] The good news is that limiting beliefs are all in your head. You formed them at some point because they kept you safe but they aren’t serving you anymore. By acknowledging and questioning them and then finding more supportive ways of thinking, you can override this autopilot in your mind. Read more about transforming limiting beliefs.
